Running back has been a position of need for Nebraska since Matt Rhule arrived, and no one has taken the starting role by the scruff of the neck.
Parker has a real opportunity to disrupt this room, as no one is looking like the bell cow at the moment. Parker tends to bounce to the outside as he has searing speed, making a nightmare in space. He will need to develop his game in between the tackles as edge players in the Big Ten will shut down that space.
As a young skill player, this would be an ideal opportunity with a starting role up in the air and a new, proven offensive coordinator who has made the running game look proficient in just a few short weeks.
Parker is ranked 5th in Missouri and 377th nationally according to 247.
